Award
The Marv Dahlgren Scholarship is a percussion scholarship presented to an applicant at McNally Smith College. The scholarship is renewable as long as the student achieves a grade point average of 3.0 for each semester’s work and enrolls full-time during each academic year (up to four years).
About Marv Dahlgren
A nationally known figure in the drumming world, Marv Dahlgren has authored and co-authored many influential books on drumming including 4-Way Coordination, Accent on Accents, and Drumset Control. Marv was the principal percussionist and assistant timpanist for the Minnesota Orchestra and was an original faculty member in the McNally Smith College percussion department. Marv continues to teach at the college.
