McNally Smith's goal is to be the most intensive and comprehensive recording school in the world. Students get hands-on experience with a variety of industry standard equipment, from two-inch analog tape to digital 5.1 surround. The program curriculum fosters a solid base in signal flow theory and application within professional-level environments. Recording technology majors have many opportunities to work with musicians in the studio, developing the skills they need to master any recording situation.
KEY CLASSES

Recording Theory/Recording Lab
Students learn to translate signal flow concepts into hands-on execution.

Studio Management
This class addresses foundational business skills for audio professionals.

Acoustics
Recording technology majors study the art and science of acoustics- the way sound interacts with different environments.
