We are excited that you are considering making the McNally Smith Residence Hall your home. Where you live is one of the most important decisions you will make as a student. McNally Smith Residence Life has everything you need and more!

The rooms have kitchens with either a stove and oven, or microwave and 2-burner cook top. The Residence Hall rooms also have private bathrooms in each unit. Our floor plans accommodate between 1-4 roommates per unit, although the single occupancy rooms are limited.

The Residence Hall offers residents both hard-wired and wireless Internet access, a common television and relaxation lounge, quiet study lounges, and practice rooms. A High Definition DirecTV Satellite package is also available for students to purchase at a deeply discounted rate of $150 per semester (cost can be divided among roommates). In addition, our Resident Assistants offer several planned activities to our residents each semester, and they are on call through the evening and overnight hours, as well as weekends, to assist residents as needed. A professional staff member is always on call, and can be reached by the Resident Assistants if and when needed.

Residents living in the Residence Hall will all purchase a meal plan of their choosing for use in the Soundbite Café. There are three different meal plan choices.

The Residence Hall is located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of 345 Wabasha St. N in the historic Lowry building in Downtown St. Paul. The Residence Hall is within two blocks of 10+ bus routes and is five blocks from the campus. Students can walk almost the full distance in the skyway system if they wish.

Room rates vary depending on the floor plan of each room, and are listed on the contract and application, which can be found at the Applicant Portal under My Housing → Housing Details → Housing Terms and Conditions.
