STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

McNally Smith College of Music provides student employment opportunities to assist music college students with financing college costs while gaining work experience and furthering career goals. Student enrollment is a prerequisite for gaining, and a condition of continuing, a student employment appointment at McNally Smith College of Music.

Applications are accepted only when a position is open. Priority is given to returning student employees. New music student applications will be ranked by interest, financial need, and FAFSA application date. A minimum of 6 credits per semester is required to accept, or continue, student employment. Summer credits are not required for current workers to remain employed, if they are enrolled for the fall semester with the required credits. Students, who graduate, leave school, or who fail to meet registration requirements will lose eligibility for student employment. Student employees who lose student employment eligibility will be immediately terminated from student employment.

All student workers must be in good academic standing.  This rule has been put in place to promote academics as the priority for our students. Any student worker placed on academic probation for a semester will no longer be scheduled working hours for that term and may be replaced by another student applicant.  The student employment job is not guaranteed upon return to a good academic status.
