The Contemporary Vocal Ensemble focuses on harmony, performing everything from the jazz stylings of Take Six and the Real Group to pop groups including Earth, Wind & Fire and the Doobie Brothers. Students in the group develop concepts of blend and balance, reading skills, and a deep understanding of harmony. There are also opportunities for solos and developing writing and arranging skills. The group actively performs at outside concerts and festivals.
