This is a small ensemble composed primarily of rhythm section players — bass, drums, two guitars, and keyboards. The music will explore the repertoire of artists like Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, and Alan Holdsworth, as well as Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters, Jeff Beck, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Frank Gambale.

Those interested must be able to contribute musically with changing time signatures and unique tempos, and must be able to improvise in advanced harmonic settings. This group is built for advanced students who are interested in this genre and looking for a challenge.
