Hornheads Ensemble is primarily dedicated to studying a cappella horn repertoire, including saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. This ensemble provides the opportunity to read challenging horn charts in a variety of musical styles. Students will also become versed in a variety of standard horn section repertoire and provide a horn section to other ensembles, including Soul, M Theory, Latin, and Afro-Caribbean Drum. This group will also allow select arranging students to hear their work in both rehearsal and performance. Horn players will develop their sightreading, performance, and ensemble skill while advancing their knowledge of the repertoire.
