Explore the fascinating sounds of the legendary Quintet of the Hot Club of France. This unique group, founded by gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli featured three acoustic guitars, string bass, and violin. Music students will play their original compositions and creative arrangements of swing standards and gypsy tunes while tapping into contemporary repertoire. The ensemble is led by Strings department head Randy Sabien, who spent much time with Grappelli in the late ’70s.
