Brian has 20 years of experience writing, recording and performing songs with bands The Hang Ups, The Owls and The Starfolk. He also collaborates with Jeremy Messersmith and The New Standards. His songs have appeared in the movies “Chasing Amy,” “Mozart and the Whale” and the television show “Dawson’s Creek.”
Brian has worked with producers Mitch Easter and Don Dixon (R.E.M, The Smithereens) and has released eight CDs. He has done extensive national touring, and has created soundtracks for short films and commercials.
Brian is passionate about the creative process and his goals as a teacher include keeping students inspired and helping them find their own unique and personal style of songwriting.
