Jeremy Messersmith is a songwriter based out of Minneapolis, MN. His first record, The Alcatraz Kid garnered local radio play and the attention of Minneapolis stalwart and Grammy Winner Dan Wilson (member of Semisonic, Trip Shakespeare) who offered to produce Jeremy’s next disc. The collaboration resulted in The Silver City, which quickly became a critical success ranking #2 in the Star Tribune’s year end critics choice poll. It received national exposure on outlets such as World Cafe, NPR’s All Songs Considered and MTV.
