As a freelance guitarist, Kevin has worked in a variety of styles and venues ranging from Broadway shows at the Ordway to performances with the New Music Theatre Ensemble and Zeitgeist. He has also performed at the Walker Art Center, the Southern Theatre, the Metrodome (with the Minnesota Vikings Big Band), and at numerous smaller local venues. Published works by Kevin include a series of jazz sessions books, and Jazz Styles for Solo Guitar, through KJOS Music. Having performed with both jazz and pop groups, Kevin has been a recipient of the Minnesota Music Award for top jazz-fusion guitarist, the Twin Cities J to Z Concert series award, and the West Bank School of Music Composers award.
