Kristin Sponcia

Kristin Sponcia, originally from Milwaukee, WI, is 
an active pianist, vocalist, arranger and composer. Kristin holds a M.M. degree in Jazz Piano from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a B.A. degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. Kristin specializes in unique interpretations of jazz standards and contemporary favorites. Kristin also has played piano with jazz ensembles featuring Ingrid Jensen, Todd Buffa, David Liebman, Melton Mustafa and Bryan Lynch. She was chosen to perform in master classes with Kenny Werner and Eric Reed. In 2003 she was a featured artist at Milwaukee’s Third Ward Jazz Festival. Additionally, Kristin regularly sings and plays solo at the Nicollet Island Inn and accompanies several of the Twin Cities’ well-known singers such as Arne Fogel, Lee Engele and Nancy Harms. Recently she performed at Carnegie Hall as a member of the vocal group The Phil Mattson Singers. Most recently Kristin performed as a pianist and singer in Shenyang, China for three months.
