The M-Theory Ensemble is McNally Smith’s premier high-end commercial, Rhythm & Blues and Funk group. M-Theory consists of a full rhythm section, an array of vocalists, and a horn section. This ensemble performs music by Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Sergio Mendez, Santana, Tower of power, Whitney Houston, and many more classic and current artists. The group focuses on performance including the development of chart writing skills, vocal harmonization, and the blending and execution of musical styles. but also has a focus on stage presence, including choreography, and wardrobe. A most gratifying ensemble after hard work. In performance, men are required to own a nice pair of black pants and a brightly colored shirt or blouse. Lady’s will dress appropriately. Extra performance beyond the venue will be available in local high schools and outside venues such as Wyld times or Minnesota Music Café.
