McNally Smith College of Music has announced the finalists for its All-Star Scholarships and the winners of most other scholarships for the 2009 – 2010 academic year. The college fielded applications from many outstanding current and prospective students, making the competition for the prestigious awards extremely steep. McNally Smith congratulates all of the scholarship finalists and recipients and is proud to recognize their talent and their stellar outlook for a long future in the world of music.
Scholarship winners are chosen based on a number of factors, including demonstration of excellence, academic achievement and ambition to pursue a career in music. McNally Smith is committed to offering opportunities for those who have financial need, which is also reflected in scholarship decisions.
Among the more than 35 scholarships awarded for the 2009 – 2010 academic year are the college’s “All-Star Scholarships.” These highly-sought, full-tuition scholarships include the Diana Ross Scholarship for studies in performance and the Ice Cube Scholarship for studies in music technology. Five finalists have been chosen for each of the All-Star Scholarships, and the winners will be announced later this Spring.McNally Smith Helps Bring a “Battle of the Bands” to Duluth
