McNally Smith College of Music and MacPhail Center for Music present Twin Cities Saxophone Day

Twin Cities Saxophone Day features clinics, concerts and master classes by New York City jazz artist Dick Oatts from the Village Vanguard Orchestra, classical artist James Bunte from the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, and Jazz/Rock virtuoso Kenni Holmen from the Hornheads.

Also on hand will be displays by instrument manufacturers and dealers, as well as a wide selection of mouthpieces, accessories and saxophone-related print music. Rooms will be available for attendees to play-test great vintage horns as well as the latest equipment, including the Reference Series from Selmer and Custom Z instruments from Yamaha. Sponsors include Davenport Instrument Repair, Tenor Madness, Yamaha, Schmitt Sax Shop and Eckroth Music.

Twin Cities Saxophone Day is Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McNally Smith College in St. Paul. Students of all ages, music teachers and pros are invited to attend. Admission is $12.
