Celebrating four decades of healing imagery
This exhibition journeys through the last four decades of Ta-coumba’s work with a revealing selection of twenty of his paintings. These works exemplify Ta-coumba’s vigorous engagement with the medium, demonstrating his early influences all the way to his most challenging aesthetics. The show also invites audiences to consider and explore parallels between the visual arts and music.
Ta-coumba’s talent, dedication to his career, advocacy for the arts, and ability to remain current is a true inspiration to artists in all fields. It is with honor and pride that McNally Smith College of Music and the friends of the show celebrate his life and work.
Breath of Life is celebrated in conjunction with McNally Smith College of Music 25th Anniversary and its place in the cultural landscape of the Twin Cities.
