McNally Smith College of Music is seeking applications for a full-time instructor for its Music Business Division beginning September 2012.
Minimal qualifications include:
- An undergraduate and graduate degree in at least one but preferably two of the fields relevant to Music Business management.
- A background/experience in the arts, and broad qualification to teach in at least two of the following areas related to the music industry: new media strategy, copyright, publishing & licensing, artist management/agency, entrepreneurship, legal aspects of the music and media industries, event and festival promotion.
- A record of excellence in teaching and advising at the college level.
- A record of college service.
Responsibilities include teaching 12 -15 credit hours per semester, advising music business students as a part of Service to the College requirements, and Service to the Profession as defined in the Faculty Policies document.
Salary: Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
