The mayors of both Minneapolis and St. Paul have both proclaimed Friday, February 15, 2013, to be “Jack McNally Day!” This tremendous honor is in recognition of the McNally Smith College of Music co-founder’s debut CD release and benefit concert taking place Friday in the Sound Bite Cafe at 6:00 pm.
The CD, Take Time, and concert are part of a fundraising effort, with all proceeds going to help build a library in Ghana for kids rescued from child trafficking. The non-profit organization building the library — Hand In Hand for Literacy — was founded and is run by McNally’s wife, Deb McNally.
As a bonus, Mayor Coleman of St. Paul — who happens to be a guitar student of McNally’s — will also be performing at the benefit concert as a special guest! See his proclamation below.Guest Lecture: Beats by Dre’s Drew Bach To Speak on Campus
