A new school year is upon us at McNally Smith College of Music, and to get everyone even more excited about returning to campus, we bring good tidings regarding the line-up to this season’s Sound Bite Series! Held in the cozy confines of McNally Smith’s Sound Bite Café, the Sound Bite Series presents FREE on-campus concerts by big time national and local music acts (last year featured the likes of Motion City Soundtrack and Dosh). This time around, McNally Smith students will be treated to exclusive, intimate performances from the likes of P.O.S., Peter Wolf Crier, Chastity Brown, Kill The Vultures and Zebulon Pike! In addition, 89.3 The Current DJ Dave Campbell will reprise his role as Sound Bite emcee, leading lively and informative Q&A sessions following each performance.
Rhymesayers recording artist (and Doomtree co-founder) P.O.S. emphatically kicks off the Sound Bite Series’ sophomore campaign on Thursday, September 20.
Tickets are available to McNally Smith students one week prior to the concert, while a limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public via McNally Smith’s website, Facebook and Twitter accounts. A limited number of tickets will also be distributed by 89.3 The Current.
For all shows, doors open at 6:00 pm and music starts at 7:00 pm. Concertgoers can also take advantage of fantastic food and drink specials, courtesy of the Sound Bite Café. Can’t make it to the show? Each Sound Bite Series concert can be viewed post-gig at right here on McNally Smith’s website.
