McNally Smith Music Technology instructor Joe Mabbott has returned to the Billboard Charts for his contributions to Minneapolis-based emcee Brother Ali’s new release, Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color, and Saint Paul-based R&B band Mint Condition’s latest, Music at the Speed of Life. Mabbot is no stranger to such distinction, as his work as mixer and engineer on numerous records by local hip-hop legends Atmosphere have all garnered Billboard Chart love — most notablly 2008′s When Life Gives You Lemons… which charted at:
