McNally Smith College of Music is extremely honored to be hosting an increasingly rare Peter Wolf Crier appearance on Thursday, March 21, to cap off what has been a stellar 2012-13 Sound Bite Concert Series. The erstwhile Twin Cities-based indie-folk duo has been relatively quiet over the past several months, and the exclusive McNally Smith engagement is the band’s only scheduled performance for 2013 thus far.
Following relentless world touring in support their celebrated Jagjaguwar releases, Inter-Be and Garden of Arms, Peter Wolf Crier’s Peter Pisano and Brian Moen relocated to Toronto and San Francisco, respectively. This distance has made regular performing somewhat of a challenge, but the band remains very much alive and plans to do a bit of recording while back in the Twin Cities for their McNally Smith appearance. In the interim, singer/guitarist Pisano has released a smashing solo album on Bandcamp under the pseudonym Jake Westin.
Doors open to the Sound Bite Cafe* at 6:00 p.m., music starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by an informative Q&A session led by 89.3 The Current DJ Dave Campbell. A limited number of tickets are still available to the general public via McNally Smith College of Music and 89.3 The Current. Interested parties can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the guest list (limit 2 tickets per request).
*The Sound Bite Café is located on the third floor of McNally Smith College of Music, 19 Exchange Street East, St. Paul, MN, 55101.

About Peter Wolf Crier:
Peter Wolf Crier is an indie folk duo from Minneapolis consisting of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen — both former residents of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where Pisano fronted Wars of 1812, and Moen drummed for Laarks and Amateur Love. Pisano approached Moen with a batch of songs he had recently written over the course of a single night and the duo worked on them over the next several months, eventually recording them as Peter Wolf Crier’s debut album, Inter-Be. The record was released in 2010 on the Bloomington, Indiana-based label Jagjaguwar, which is also home to Minneapolis supergroup Gayngs and Eau Claire singer-songwriter Bon Iver. Jagjaguwar also released the group’s sophomore effort, Garden of Arms, in 2011.Newer: ATTN Students: Submit Your Original Song for McNally Smith’s Best of 2013 Compilation — Deadline is May 1st
