Zebulon Pike Promises Maximum Volume for Second Installment of Soundbite Series

McNally Smith College of Music’s almighty Sound Bite Series rolls on into the brisk Minnesota fall, and what better band to represent Rock-tober (that’s right, we went there) than the Twin Cities’ own instrumental doom metal masters, Zebulon Pike?! Twice named “Hard Rock Group of the Year” by Minnesota Music Awards, this fearsome foursome brings the pain with it’s sludgy, gut-punching riffs, scintillating licks and mathy-yet-meaty grooves, only to counter with sweeping sections of delicately textured instrumentation. These dudes don’t write simple songs—they compose face-melting marathon movements. So grab some earplugs and strap in for an epic sonic journey tomorrow evening, Thursday, October 11, at the Sound Bite Café, located on the 3rd floor of the main campus building at 19 Exchange St., St. Paul, MN 55101. Doors @ 6:00 p.m., music @ 7:00 p.m.
