History Theatre, a non-profit professional theatre company that creates and presents new plays and musicals with historic themes, seeks a marketing intern for the Summer 2010 semester.
 
Previous experience in marketing, an interest in theatre and arts administration is preferred but not required.

Duties include:
Communications + Social Media
Develop and implement a social media communications strategy and plan 
Maintain presence and update content on Facebook, Myspace, and other social media pages 
Create content for blog and e-newsletter 
Maintain website content 
Prepare materials for press releases for the 2010-11 season 
 
Marketing Events + Community Partnerships
Seek our, contact, and secure community partnerships for shows in the 2010-11 season 
Coordinate promotional events for shows in the 2010-11 season 
Seek business and corporate sponsorships 
Coordinate any trades and inkind support from other arts and community organizations 
Distribute promotional materials at events and locations throughout the metro area 
Research fun facts about the 2010-11 season for use in Trivia events and educational materials 
 
Administrative Support
·        Update the media contact database 
·        Archive season information: ads, printed materials, press coverage, photos, and other publicity
·        Assist with various projects as needed (mailings, filing, cleaning, etc.)</description>

PERFORMING ARTS AMBASSADORSHIP

The Southern Theater, located at Seven Corners in Minneapolis, has been hailed one of the greatest, most innovative theaters in the Twin Cities.  Its Mission is to cultivate artistic exploration by providing a vibrant home for performance, fostering a multiplicity of voices, and catalyzing connections among artists and audience.  The Southern Theater is now looking to fill some positions for a new ambassadorship program which will begin in April, 2010.  We are looking for the participation of performing arts students as well as music/theater tech. students.

Some duties of the Performing Arts Ambassadorship include:
•	Collecting information about theater, dance, and music acts scheduled to perform at the Southern throughout the season.
•	Flyering, promoting, and advertising in your school and its local neighborhood.
•	Volunteering your assistance on event nights.

Some perks of being a Performing Arts Ambassador include:

      <description>itchfork.tv is seeking New York-based interns with experience in shooting and cinematography. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in various SD and HD cameras, with lighting, mic placement, and live shooting experience a plus. Duties include (but are not limited to): prepping gear for shoots, white balancing, syncing, coordinating mic/line inputs, and monitoring audio recordings, as well as some actual shooting. This position exists predominantly in the field and will largely occur on evenings and weekends. Because many of our shoots take place at music venues, candidates under 21 cannot be considered.
