Junkyard Empire, a well-established local radical political hip-hop/rock/jazz group, based here in Saint Paul is on the lookout for a new bassist. We are a 5-piece band, playing live hip-hop, mixed with lots of indie rock vibe and a lot of jazz as well, lots of room to improvise, etc. Need someone who is very responsible, has reliable transportation or lives close, has very solid time, experience live and in the studio, and is comfortable merging all these styles of music. We do not make a lot of money, but that is quickly changing. Travel to Europe in the Summer and regional travel to college gigs April - May and tons of college dates in the Fall. This band plays a very high level of music, so it would be a great opportunity for one of your more advanced students.
